While doing a welfare check on an individual the assailant (subject of the check) opened fire with a 44mag striking Deputy Bluedorn once in the chest. His ABA armor stopped the round and he and other officers set up a perimeter and called in a Tactical team. A six hour standoff ensued and when entry was made it was discovered the assailant had taken his own life.
