On February 29, 2008, Reserve Police Officer Guy Taylor responded to a call of a man brandishing a weapon. Upon arrival, Officer Taylor was shot three times by the suspect who then fled the scene. Police officers were later able to locate the suspect and took him into custody. Officer Taylor’s GH Lite Level II armor was credited with saving him from serious bodily harm or worse.
