On November 5, 2017, Lieutenant Timothy Eldridge was responding to a call for a report of an armed carjacking and kidnapping. When the lieutenant located the suspect in his vehicle, he performed a traffic stop. As he attempted to deescalate the situation, the suspect opened fire with a .45 ACP.
Lieutenant Eldridge was hit once in the chest, yet was able stay in the fight and return fire, fatally wounding the suspect.
The lieutenant’s ABA® HP02 Level II armor stopped the round to his chest, and he was treated and released from the hospital.
We welcome Lieutenant Timothy Eldridge, SAVE #1999, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
