On September 28, 2017, a sergeant was approached by a prisoner who pulled
out a home-made edged weapon and attacked him. Several other corrections
officers came to the sergeant’s assistance and the prisoner was subdued.
Though the sergeant was wounded in the head, neck and arms, his Second
Chance® Prism® level I armor stopped all the strikes to his torso – preventing
serious injury.
