On April 8, 2016, Officer José Antonio Martin Fernández was the shield
operator during an entry. As he entered the residence, an assailant opened
fire with a 12-gauge shotgun. The assailant fired two rounds of double-aught
(00) buck shot which were stopped by the officer’s PROTECH® Tactical TSI
Model 2440I Shield.
