On November 15, 2018 Deputy Stephan Psillos of the Richmond County
Sheriff’s Office responded to a dispute call and was dispatched to a hotel to
investigate. While attempting to speak with the parties involved, the suspect
pulled a knife and attacked Deputy Psillos.
Deputy Psillos was wounded in the head and shoulder, but a knife strike to
his upper left chest was stopped by his Safariland® SMO2 level II armor,
allowing the deputy to stay in the fight and end the threat.
Deputy Psillos was treated in the hospital for the wounds to his head and
shoulder. He was released the next day and has returned to full duty.
We welcome Deputy Stephan Psillos, SAVE #2052, to The Safariland Group
SAVES CLUB®.
