On September 28, 2018 Officer Bryan Wagner was in his patrol vehicle parked on the shoulder of the highway when he was struck from behind by a tow truck towing a vehicle at highway speed.
Officer Wagner suffered a fractured skull, dissected carotid artery and a severe concussion. Yet, his Safariland® Summit™ SM01 IIIA armor protected his torso and he sustained no injuries to the area protected by his armor. Officer Wagner has returned to full duty.
