On February 16, 2022, Officers were serving an arrest warrant at a trailer park. The assailant opened fire and shot Officer Blake Bilbrey in the chest. Officer Bilbrey was able to stay in the fight, return fire and end the threat. Officer Bilbrey’s Safariland XT03 level IIIA armor stopped the .45AP round.
He was treated, released from the hospital, and has returned to full duty.
