On November 21, 2021, Motor Officer Craig Steuben of the California Highway Patrol was on patrol and attempting to overtake a motorcycle moving at a high rate of speed. His patrol motorcycle suffered a mechanical failure which induced a high-speed wobble. Officer Steuben’s bike crashed, and he slid 485 feet along the road surface. His Safariland SX02 Level IIIA armor protected his torso during the event.
We welcome Motor Officer Craig Steuben as SAVE #2174 to the Safariland Group SAVES Club.
