On March 23, 2021, Officer Timothy Barker of the California Highway Patrol was parked on the southbound I-5 freeway, south of Thornton Road, when an intoxicated driver traveling at approximately 100 MPH crashed into the rear of his patrol vehicle. Officer Barker’s injuries prevented him from being able to return to duty, but his Safariland® Summit™ Level IIIA Armor worn in an M2 carrier prevented an even worse outcome.
We welcome Officer Timothy Barker as Save #2199 to The Safariland Group Saves Club®.
