— James MaybrickCADRE Dispatch

Streamlight’s TLR-1 weapon lights have proven themselves as duty-ready lighting solutions for any rail-ready rifle or handgun. The latest generation of the TLR-1 is the new HL-X USB multifuel light, which offers flexible powering options and up to 1,500 lumens.

Designed for Durability and Ease of Action

The new TLR-1 HL-X USB is thoughtfully designed for durability and ease of activation without breaking your line of sight. The series is constructed of 6000 series machined aluminum and uses an impact-resistant polymer switch and a white LED bulb. It is IPX7-rated waterproof and impact-resistant and weighs just over five ounces so as not to burden your loadout.

“This newest addition to the TLR family gives tactical, outdoor and other users all the brightness, features and functionality they need, whether using it to clear a dark room, search alleys or light a dark path under low-light conditions,” said Streamlight President and CEO Ray Sharrah. “Like the best-selling TLR-1 HL, it provides full situational awareness by delivering maximum illumination in a wide beam pattern, but now also offers multi-fuel technology, new customizable rear switches, and front-loading batteries.”

The Streamlight TLR-1 HL-X USB comes ready to fit full-sized and compact Picatinny railed handguns and features High and Extended High paddles at the rear of the light.

The light can be topped off via a USB-C cord when using an SL-B9 Li-Ion battery pack. Alternatively, depending on preference and availability, the battery hatch can be opened from the front, and a pair of CR123A batteries used in its place. Either method charges the light without having to remove it from the firearm.

Multifuel Options and Enhanced Features

With the rechargeable pack, the TLR-1 HL-X can hit 1,500 lumens and 20,000 candelas with an advertised range of 283 meters and a continuous run time of one hour. Using CR123A batteries diminishes the power of the light but extends the time, with 1,000 lumens and 15,000 candelas as well as a 245-meter distance for 1.5 hours. Both give ample flexibility and performance needed for target identification while maintaining an excellent peripheral glare.
