On January 1, 2025, Officer Timothy Donahue was assigned to a traffic detail. He was approached by an individual who immediately punched him in the face. A struggle ensued, and the assailant stated he was going to take his firearm. The assailant wrapped his arms around Officer Donahue’s waist and attempted to gain control of his duty firearm.
Officer Donahue’s Safariland® 6360 Level III holster’s retention™ system aided Officer Donahue in retaining control of the firearm throughout the struggle. The assailant was ultimately unable to gain control of the firearm and was taken into custody.
Officer Donahue suffered an orbital fracture and a boxer’s fracture to his right hand because of the attack. Officer Donahue has returned to full duty.
We welcome Officer Timothy Donahue as SAVE #2255 to The Safariland Group Saves Club®.
