On December 5, 2006, Cpl. Pschigoda was outside his vehicle deploying Stop Stick® devices when he was intentionally struck by a suspect’s vehicle involved in a high speed pursuit.
Cpl. Pschigoda was thrown over the hood causing him to shatter the windshield and was then thrown another 200 feet by the force of the impact. Cpl. Pschigoda suffered extensive injuries to his head, arms and legs. Although his Safariland® Gold II 4.0 armor sustained numerous deep slashes from the glass and metal, Cpl. Pschigoda suffered no injuries to his chest, torso or back and he has returned to full duty.
We welcome Cpl. William Pschigoda, SAVE #1969, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
