On February 25, 2017, Corporal Adam Phillips responded to a domestic disturbance call and, upon his arrival, the assailant opened fire with a shotgun from 40 feet away. Corporal Phillips was hit on and off his armor but his Second Chance® MN01 Level II vest stopped the pellets that hit his torso.
Corporal Phillips has recovered from the hits off the armor and is returning to full duty.
