Master Police Officer David Six

High Point Police Department High Point NC Saves Club

On January 6, 2017, Master Police Officer David Six of the High Point Police Department was initiating an arrest of a driver who was inside a vehicle when the driver reached for the center console. As Officer Six lunged in to stop the suspect from accessing the console, the driver placed the vehicle in gear and fled at a high rate of speed.

As the vehicle sped away, Officer Six was able to force his way into the driver’s side. The suspect lost control and crashed through a chain link fence where the car rolled over into a creek. The crash investigation confirmed that the vehicle was moving at 43 MPH when the airbags deployed.

Upon impact, Officer Six’s body was positioned across the dash, compressing the dashboard by a full 12 inches.

Officer Six received lacerations to his head and a slight thoracic compression fracture. His Second Chance® XT03 Level II armor significantly reduced the impact to his torso saving him from severe injury.

He is expected to recover fully from his injuries and return to duty soon.

We welcome Master Police Officer David Six, SAVE #1981, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
