Lieutenant Burwash was dispatched to a major accident in October, 1975. After arriving, Burwash became aware that one of the drivers was quite intoxicated. While advising the subject of his rights, Burwash became engaged in a physical struggle. While on the ground, the subject pulled a 5 inch bladed knife from his belt and thrust it into Burwash’s chest. Due to his Second Chance® vest, Burwash sustained to injuries from the struggle and was able to apprehend the subject.
We welcome Lieutenant Michael Burwash, SAVE #46, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
