Officer Enich, a.k.a. Kojak, by his fellow officers, answered a “family disturbance” call on March 2, 1978. The suspect came out of the house with a shotgun, but instead of putting it down, he fired one shot. The blast struck Enich in his left shoulder. His Second Chance® vest, however, absorbed most of the spray of shotgun pellets. In his letter to Davis, Enich stated…”not only for myself, but for my wife and three kids, thanks for giving me a second chance.”
We welcome Officer Hal Enich, SAVE #111, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
