n the early hours of a rainy August morning, Patrolman Terry McClannahan came in contact with a vehicle driving without taillights. When attempting to stop the vehicle, the subject took off, and McClannahan began to pursue him. Due to the hazardous road conditions, McClannahan was unable to complete a turn at a T Intersection, and he overturned in a ditch. Thirty-five minutes later, after he was located, McLannahan was transported to a hospital. X-rays confirmed no serious damage had been sustained due to his Second Chance® vest.
