Officer Lee had two motor vehicle accidents while wearing his seven-year old Second Chance® vest, six months apart, the second being a life-saving experience. On August 28, 1979, Lee was pursuing a juvenile in a stolen car. After speeds in excess of 100 MPH were reached, the suspect turned and rammed the patrol unit. After the impact, the juvenile jumped out and began to run away. Due to his vest absorbing most of the impact, Lee was able to exit the car and catch the subject.
We welcome Officer Gary Lee, SAVE #141, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
