On May 18, 1979, Officer McCormick and his cycle were separated at 45 MPH. After a 246 foot skid, most of which was on his back, McCormick was treated for lacerations, contusions, shock, second-degree burns to his right side and left leg, and 18 stitches were required to close up his right knee and elbow. Nothing was left of his uniform shirt besides a few black and brown scrappings on his Second Chance® vest. Without the vest, said the attending physician, the incident would have surely been fatal.
We welcome Officer Dennis McCormick, SAVE #149, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®
