On October 28th, Officer Paith was dispatched to assist another officer in stopping a vehicle. As Paith approached from the opposite direction, the suspect lost control of his vehicle and struck Paith’s unit head-on. The suspect’s vehicle had been traveling in excess of 80 MPH. The impact stopped Paith’s vehicle and pushed it back over 60″. Paith was pinned in the wreckage for 20 minutes before being set free by a rescue team. “I received several lacerations to my face, right arm and leg. Also, my right knee joint was broken. However, the Second Chance® vest I was wearing saved my chest from any injury.”
We welcome Officer Kenneth Paith, SAVE #207, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
