Shortly after midnight, Patrolman Otero crested the top of a hill in a residential section of town and came face-to-face with a speeding drunk driver. The impact threw Otero into the steering wheel, steering column, dashboard and windshield. The cruiser was completely demolished and Otero had to be extracted with the “Jaws of Life.” The attending physicians had to cut Otero from his Second Chance® vest, which now has the imprint of the cruiser steering wheel embedded in it.
We welcome Officer Thomas Otero, SAVE #221, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
