The police work was finished at the scene Officer Brown was leaving. As he backed out of the area, he backed into the path of a pickup doing 65 MPH. In the opinion of Dr. Weinblatt, “the (Second Chance®) body armor worn by Officer Brown at the time of the accident was instrumental in preventing further injury to the officer’s chest and sternum.”
