Officer Richter was traveling through an intersection when a DUI turned left into Richter’s path. Richter struck the car broadside throwing himself into the steering column. Dr. Koepnick stated that had it not been for Richter wearing his (Second Chance®) protective armor he would have received “more serious injuries from the accident.”
