On August 9, 1986, a bank robber with a sawed-off shotgun, 40-pounds of explosives and eleven hostages, held the police at bay. The special SWAT team obtained the release of all but one hostage, who was killed with the robber when a delay switch on the explosives was triggered. A total of six Finnish policemen were seriously wounded but survived the metal and glass fragmentation because of their Second Chance® armor. Due to the political attitude in Finland, Second Chance® was asked not to print the names of the six officers involved. Names will be released to Chiefs on written request only.
