Investigator Stockton was one of several narks executing a search warrant at Detroit residence. After a forced entry, Stockton and his back up proceeded to the second floor to secure the area. As the officers reached the landing between the floors, the suspect jumped from the bedroom firing two shots. The first slug, from a .22, struck Stockton in the left shoulder portion of his Second Chance® Command Jac armor. The assailant then barricaded himself in the bedroom where he was subsequently talked into surrendering the weapon and was arrested by the officers.
