Patrolman Makowsi’s 5-year old Second Chance® vest proved its value when it saved his life when he swerved to miss an on-coming car and struck a building. It took emergency personnel 1.5 hours to cut him our of his car. Makowski suffered a broken leg and numerous lacerations. However, no life-threatening injuries were sustained due to his vest.
