Officer Fangman and his partner were pursuing a speeding car when another vehicle sped by them. Fangman took off after the second vehicle. Both cycles had their emergency lights flashing. Just as Fangman was about to overcome the first vehicle in his pursuit of the second vehicle, the first car slowed down and turned into Fangman’s cycle path. Fangman struck the right rear portion of the first vehicle forcing Fangman off the road and into a light pole. Fangman sustained a broken knee cap, broken toe and laceration on his hands and head but no “intraperitoneal injury,” according to Dr. Philip Schechter, ER trauma specialist.
We welcome Officer John Fangman, SAVE #492, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
