Deputy Celiberti was patrolling the roadway in a marked patrol car when he noticed a car parked beside the road. He passed it and doubled back and pulled up behind it. The car had no license tags so he called in to notify dispatch he was stopping to investigate. As Celiberti approached the car from the passenger’s side, flashlight in hand, a shot rang out from the adjacent woods, a .357 slug struck Celiberti in the upper right side of his chest protected by his Second Chance® concealable armor. Celiberti went down and raced for cover in the woods returning gunfire as he ran.
We welcome Deputy Vito Celiberti, SAVE #551, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
