Officer Sutton was a member of New Haven police department’s narcotic enforcement unit. They were executing a search and seizure warrant with Sutton in the lead. The team was fired upon with Sutton receiving 9mm wounds to his upper arm, right hand and two 9mm hits in the center of his Second Chance® vest. Writes Sgt. Generoso, Team Commander, “two 9mm rounds which would surely have been life threatening if not fatal had he (Sutton) not been wearing your Second Chance® vest.”
