Officer Carraway and his partner stopped a subject walking down the street who was identified as being involved in a domestic dispute. A LEIN check discovered two outstanding warrants. The subject was advised of his rights and while being handcuffed, a struggle broke out. The subject grabbed the officer’s Lock .40 and fired three quick shots striking the officer in his arm and his chest protected by his Second Chance® SUPERfeatherlite II armor. Carraway’s partner drew his own weapon and when the subject turned to fire again he was hit three times with another Glock .40. Both men were transported to the hospital where they recovered from their multiple gunshot wounds.
