Constable Dorsch was riding as a passenger in a police cruiser with his partner. They were responding to an emergency call and traveling at a moderate speed with their emergency lights and sirens activated. As they approached an intersection, another motorist turned in front of their patrol car and struck the passenger side of the cruiser, which pushed it into an electric pole and then a house. Dorsch’s physician stated that he sustained significant bruising to the rib cage and she believed that his Second Chance® Armor dispersed the force of impact diminishing the amount of injury and probably avoided a rib fracture.
We welcome Constable John Dorsch, SAVE #780, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
