Jones answered a family disturbance call at 4 o’clock on a Sunday morning. As he entered the residence he was met by a subject with a .357-magnum handgun extended out to greet him. The would-be shooter started to back away when he let loose with three rounds, all striking Jones at a distance of 5-to-10-feet. One bullet ripped his extended hand turning him slightly as the second round went through his left arm and into his armpit. The third round failed to penetrate Jones” 3-year-old Second Chance® 322ZII armor covering his chest.
