Officer Doyle was going to a first-degree burglary in progress call when a train struck his police vehicle. Officer Doyle’s vehicle was thrown into the air, rolled several times and came to rest on its top in a ditch. Officer Doyle was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extracted by the fire department using the “Jaws of Life.” The treating physician stated that Officer Doyle’s injuries could have been fatal had it not been for the Featherlite II Second Chance® unit of body armor he was wearing.
We welcome Officer James Doyle, SAVE #835, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
