Deputy Kuritz was responding to a report of a sniper on an overpass on Florida’s turnpike. Another vehicle pulled into the path of Kuritz causing them to collide. Unfortunately, a passenger in the other vehicle, who was not wearing a seat belt, was killed.According to Kuritz’s physician, he suffered a significant amount of injuries as a result of the collision, and he feels “very strongly that the Second Chance® protective body armor is directly responsible for saving Deputy Kuritz’s life. Any other officer, who was not similarly protected, would have been dead on the scene.”
We welcome Deputy Andrew Scott Kuritz, SAVE #882, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
