While attempting to arrest a subject wanted on felony domestic violence warrant, Detective Warner was shot in his right leg, upper right arm, left arm, and in the pectoral area of his chest. The bullet that hit him in the chest lodged in his vest in the right under arm side area. Ironically, Detective Warner’s partner, Detective Augeri, was shot in the thigh during this incident, was among a group of policeman who 4 months earlier had prevented the shooter from trying to kill himself by jumping off the Arrigoni Bridge into the Connecticut River.
We welcome, Detective William Warner, SAVE #1418, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
