CANCON Carolinas 2025

Rick Hogg

When RECOIL Magazine says “range day,” they don’t mean a couple of lanes and a folding table. CANCON Carolinas 2025 turned the Clinton House Shooting Complex in Clinton, South Carolina, into a two-day, fully suppressed live-fire playground on November 7–8, 2025, with VIP early access and dinner on Thursday, November 6.

Billed as the world’s largest fully suppressed range day, CANCON brings together top suppressor, firearms, optics, and gear manufacturers for an event that feels like the best parts of a range day, gun show, and an industry day rolled into one.

On The Range Podcast with War HOGG Tactical and Kelley Defense was invited by RECOIL Magazine to record both audio and video podcast episodes at the event. Some of our guests included Walther, Ammo To Go, Wilson Combat, PTR Industries, DPMS, Palmetto State Armory, Gun Owners of America, and more.

The great thing about recording the podcast on site is learning new things from the industry. For example, Walther is offering a FREE C&H red dot sight with every PDP purchased now until the end of the year. When you visit manufacturer websites, make sure to sign up for company email lists to stay connected. Don’t forget to use code warhogg25 to save with Aimpoint.

What Is CANCON?

CANCON is RECOIL’s signature “all cans, all the time” range event; every firearm on the line runs a suppressor, no exceptions. That means attendees get a rare opportunity: side-by-side trigger time on hundreds of suppressed pistols, SBRs, PCCs, and precision rifles, all in one place, with ammunition included in the ticket price.

Whether you’re a first-time shooter curious about hearing-safe options, a veteran looking to modernize your setup, or a seasoned enthusiast who’s already deep into the NFA game, CANCON is the must-attend suppressed shooting event of the year.

With RECOIL Magazine and On The Range Podcast driving the coverage and interviews, The Clinton House providing a world-class venue, and the industry’s top brands hauling in truckloads of guns, cans, and ammo, this November weekend in South Carolina is more than just another gun show; it’s a fully immersive, live-fire experience built around the modern suppressed lifestyle.

The Venue and Experience

CANCON Carolinas 2025 returns to The Clinton House Plantation & Shooting Complex, a sprawling 2,000-acre property that offers multiple live-fire bays and long-range capability out to 1,000 yards and a full mile. This space gives RECOIL and its partners the room to expand: more lanes, more brands, more guns, and longer distances than ever.

Location: The Clinton House Shooting Complex, Clinton, SC (roughly 45 minutes south of Greenville).

Dates:

  • VIP: Thursday, November 6, 2025, early access 2–4 p.m. plus catered dinner and VIP swag bag with some amazing items.
  • General Admission: November 7–8, 2025, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. each day. Pricing is designed to stay reasonable, general admission runs around $50 per day, with discounted two-day passes for those who want the full weekend experience.

Unlimited Ammo, Unlimited Suppressors

The biggest selling point of CANCON Carolinas 2025 is simple: once you’re in, the ammo is free. Attendees can bounce from lane to lane and burn through magazines all day without worrying about blowing through their own stash.

Attendees had no shortage of types of firearms or suppressors to try. The beauty is that the entry fee covered the cost of the ammo, so you could shoot as many different combinations as you wanted.

Manufacturers from across the firearms industry bring demo fleets of:

  • Centerfire rifle suppressors
  • Pistol cans and modular handgun suppressors
  • PCC and SMG setups
  • Rimfire hosts for quiet, grin-inducing plinking

Long-Range, Close-Range, and Everything In Between

Clinton House isn’t just about short bays. The facility offers 1,000-yard and 1-mile ranges, and CANCON, along with Barrett, takes full advantage.

Attendees can stretch out with precision bolt guns and gas guns, testing high-performance suppressors and modern optics at distances that most public ranges never touch. Attendees who hit that mile target get a commemorative Barrett 1-Mile coin. Closer in, you’ll find:

  • Carbine and SBR lanes
  • Pistol bays for defensive-style shooting
  • Rimfire lanes—perfect for new shooters or anyone who wants maximum fun with minimum recoil
  • Specialty manufacturer lanes showcasing specific platforms or new product launches

Cancon offers the chance to truly “try it before you buy it.” Suppressors range from .22lr to .416 Barrett and everything in between.

It’s a rare chance to hear, literally, how different suppressors compare in real time on similar hosts. Instead of watching YouTube sound tests, you get to shoot suppressed all day and let your own ears decide.

More Than a Range Day: BTAC, Vendors, Nonprofits, and Giveaways

CANCON Carolinas also folds in BTAC — the BLADE Tactical Knife Show — a spin-off from the team behind Blade Show, the world’s biggest knife show.

On Friday, November 7 only, CANCON attendees had access to a specialized tactical and EDC knife pavilion with 25+ custom knifemakers and top factory brands showing off hard-use blades, EDC gear, and artisan accessories.

Veteran-owned, family-operated Stroup knives was the only knife company that was there for the entire show.

Beyond knives, the grounds were also packed with the following:

  • Vendors selling optics, holsters, slings, plate carriers, packs, and range gear

  • On-site opportunities to buy guns, suppressors, and accessories from participating FFLs and vendors

  • Food trucks and concessions to keep everyone fed between strings of fire

  • Daily prize giveaways, from swag and soft goods to full-blown firearms and suppressors, plus the crowd-favorite “Pros vs. Joes” shooting challenge, where attendees squared off against a pro shooter for serious bragging rights.

  • Machines, Nine Line Apparel brought out a Little Bird helicopter and Walther, a drift car

Attendees saw a Vietnam-era OH-6 helicopter (both static and in flight during the cold range periods) and the Walther drift car at their booth.

The Marine Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation set up a booth to fundraise for their war memorial project, to be housed at the USMC Museum in Quantico, Virginia.

For attendees, it’s also a chance to meet Rick Hogg and Mark Kelley, hosts of On The Range Podcast, and the people behind RECOIL — the editors, writers, and contributors who live the gun lifestyle and help shape the modern conversation around suppressors, training, and gear.

That means:

  • Episodes of On The Range Podcast coming soon
  • Cameras rolling on new product reveals and quiet-time demos
  • Interviews with brand reps, and coverage that later shows up in print, online, and on RECOIL TV

Why CANCON Carolinas 2025 Matters

For years, suppressors were something you read about more than you actually shot. Paperwork, wait times, and uncertainty kept many shooters from ever getting hands-on time with a properly suppressed setup.

CANCON flips that script. At CANCON Carolinas 2025, shooters were able to:

  • Compare dozens of cans back-to-back, on multiple calibers and host platforms
  • Talk directly with the company reps who design and support those products
  • Experience how modern suppressors change recoil impulse, blast, and shooter comfort in real-world scenarios

For law enforcement officers, trainers, and responsible armed citizens, the ability to test different suppressor/firearm combinations before committing to a purchase is invaluable. You’re not taking a blind leap of faith; you’re vetting gear in person, with live rounds and real data.

CANCON Carolinas 2026: The Suppressed Event of the Year

Next year CANCON will return to The Clinton House, but this time it will be on May 8-9th. If you are in the Southeast, you definitely don’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind event. See you next year at CANCON Carolinas 2026.
