Safariland Debuts Commercial Hearing Protection Line at 2017 SHOT Show
Three new hearing solutions for shooting enthusiast
ONTARIO, California – Safariland®, a brand of The Safariland Group, will unveil its first commercial hearing protection line at 2017 SHOT (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor and Trade) show, booth #12762. Along with the trusted engineers of TCI™ ‒ also a brand of The Safariland Group known for its high end tactical communications headset and accessories expertise ‒ Safariland now offers three hearing solutions ideal for shooting enthusiasts seeking comfortable hearing protection to reduce loud noises without blocking ambient audio.

The In-Ear Impulse Hearing Protection operates with no batteries and automatically engages to protect the wearer’s hearing without blocking normal ambient sounds. With its proprietary material, the Professional In-Ear Filter is designed for long wear comfort. The hearing solution comes in a convenient aluminum transport/storage case which can be easily hooked onto a key-chain. Each set contains a medium and a large pair with an MSRP of $17.99/set.
Designed for comfortably protecting a wearer’s eyes and ears on the range, the Safariland Range Kit includes a pair of HD shooting glasses, one pair of high quality triple flange design ear plugs for an optimal seal and noise reduction rating of 23dB, and one Gun Metal Grey passive hearing headset with a high noise reduction rating of 26db – when worn together, this set has been certified at 33db. The Safariland Range Kit has an MSRP of $24.99.
Rounding out this first commercial line is the Safariland Electronic Hearing Protection with an MSRP of $69.99. This highly durable ear muff set includes low distortion speaker technology for superior sound. With its electronic noise compression, sounds are compressed and reduced to safe hearing levels. Featuring sound localization, the Safariland Electronic Hearing Protection headset allows the wearer to have full situational awareness, as the headset does not block out all sounds completely. This hearing solution requires two AAA batteries which provides 325 hours of operation. With the wearer’s comfort in mind, the Safariland Electronic Hearing Protection includes comfort ear seals, single-sided controls and rubber cheek wells.
