New Safariland GLS Holster Line to be Showcased on Shooting USA
ONTARIO, California – Safariland® announced today that the all-new GLS™ (Grip Locking System) holster series will be showcased on Wednesday night’s episode of Shooting USA. The hour long special features various new products launched at the 2014 SHOT Show. The GLS series is the newest line of holsters from Safariland, which feature a patent-pending retention device that securely holds the handgun in place and intuitive middle finger draw.
The GLS system automatically locks the weapon in place once holstered. When drawing with a proper shooting grip, the middle finger is placed in the exact location of the locking mechanism, allowing it to sweep over the GLS releasing the firearm with a simple, straight-up draw out of the holster. GLS models also feature low-cut sides, aiding in concealment, speed and re-holstering.
The GLS holsters are available in three models which include a 5377 Belt Slide, a 5378 Paddle/Belt Slide Combo and a 5379 Belt Clip version. All models feature the durable SafariLaminate™ wraparound construction which provides an excellent fit in a lightweight holster. All models also feature Safariland’s standard 3-hole mounting platform making it compatible with all attachment systems including the popular QLS (Quick Locking System).
