Technology Expansion Provides Officers Personalization Capability with New Configurations
JACKSONVILLE, Florida – PROTECH® Tactical, a brand of The Safariland Group, today announced its complete line of integrated tactical plate racks and carriers featuring FirstSpear® technologies is now available. As the tactical brand promoting the most carrier options, these product additions expand the ability of users to personalize their armor with an array of configurations for five of the best-selling platforms from PROTECH Tactical – The Fast Attack Vest, Titan™ Assault Vest, All Purpose Vest, and Shift 360™ and TAC PH plate racks.
These models now include a combination of the FirstSpear 6/12™ load-bearing platform and the FirstSpear Tubes™ closure system, providing lightweight comfort and innovative donning and doffing capabilities. Expanding upon the already popular Advanced Webless System and Traditional Modular Webbing configurations, users now have more options than ever before for load-bearing materials and closure systems.

Accompanying the FirstSpear load-bearing and closure system integration, FirstSpear 6/12 Pouch Backers are now available on the full line of PROTECH Tactical ammunition, less lethal and utility pouches.
The latest in pouch backer technology, FirstSpear 6/12 backers achieve an approximate 40% weight reduction as compared to traditional pouch backers. Utilizing minimal material and a simplified design, 6/12 backers create a condensed and low-profile silhouette on tactical platforms and improve signature management. FirstSpear 6/12 backers are lightweight and low-profile, yet feature a durable and strong attachment onto 6/12 tactical platforms, securing the pouch tightly to the wearer’s body. Pouches integrated with 6/12 backers are only compatible on 6/12 load-bearing platforms.
Pricing for PROTECH Tactical plate racks, platforms and pouch backers outfitted with FirstSpear technology varies based on model, ballistic packages and additional accessories. The line of tactical platforms is available in a variety of colors and is customizable with an array of optional accessories to add protection to the upper and lower torso.
