The Safariland Training Group Hosts Annual 2017 Safariland Training Group Conference June 6-9 in Kenner, La. – One-Stop Training for All Levels
World-Renowned Professionals Provide Hands-On Instruction for Most Essential Law Enforcement Focused Training
ONTARIO, California – Safariland® announced today The Safariland Training Group will host the annual Safariland Training Group Conference, a four-day event filled with twenty-two classes to provide officers with critical insights on how to be prepared for any type of conflict in the field, and how to best protect themselves from harm, June 6-9 in Kenner, La. This hands-on, interactive approach to courses, instrumental in preparing officers for real-world incidents, is led by a team of highly experienced instructors made up of current and former law enforcement officers who bring real-world expertise to the training.
“Our courses are designed to engage students through interactive training,” said Sandy Wall, director, The Safariland Training Group. “To cover the most relevant teachings, we incorporated curriculums from the Monadnock® International Instructor Seminar and the Defense Technology® Less Lethal Instructor Program, and combined them with the latest in next generation training methods. This multi-platform conference is a one-stop training for law enforcement officers of all levels.”
The Safariland Training Group courses rely heavily on practical applications intended for all levels of law enforcement who want instruction on how-to-use a variety of weapons for self-defense. The courses range from one-day to four-day options, including:
• Four-day ICP Instructor Course, which includes OC aerosol, less lethal impact and chemical and Distraction Device® training.
• Four-day Crowd Management and Mobile Field Force Instructor Course featuring a variety of small- to large-scale riots, meeting the needs of agencies that are tasked with crowd control ranging from an orderly protest to large-scale riot.
• Two-day Monadnock Expandable Baton (MEB), MDTS and PR-24® instructor-level courses show officers how to use their hands, elbows, knees and feet for protection against an attack, and useful skills in all three zones of defense.
