Team Safariland Member Robert Vogel Wins 2017 USPSA Ohio State Championship
Ohio native cleared a Limited Division win with 149.78 time
ONTARIO, California – Safariland®, a brand of The Safariland Group, praises Team Safariland member Robert Vogel on his Limited Division win at the 2017 USPSA Ohio State Championship, May 26-28 at Briar Rabbit Sporting in Zanesville, Ohio. Vogel beat 81 competitors, receiving a 100 percent score, beating the second place contender by more than 10 percent.
The USPSA Ohio State Championship consisted of 12 stages plus chrono, with an estimated round count of 350. From his aggressive positioning to his deliberate momentum, Vogel dominated with a clean match with no penalties and finished with an overall 149.78 time.
“It is always a good feeling to win in my home state,” said Vogel. “I was one of three grandmasters, and having reliable gear from Safariland definitely enabled me to shoot with precision and accuracy. It is one less thing I have to worry about when I am in the middle of a competition.”

Robert Vogel is a professional marksman, competition shooter, and National/World champion. He is the only law enforcement officer ever to win World and National Championships in the Practical Pistol Disciplines of IPSC, IDPA and USPSA. Vogel competed with the Safariland 032 ELS Belt, Model 5198 Holster and 773 Mag Pouches. His next competition is the USPSA Ryan Rocks Charity Blast, July 8-9 at the Livingston Gun Club in Brighton, Mich.
