On June 13, 2020, Conservation Officer Matthew Holmes was working a speed enforcement detail on an OHRV (Off Highway Recreational Vehicle) trail near Drummer, New Hampshire. While attempting to stop 2 OHRV’s for a speeding violation, a third OHRV struck him at a high rate of speed. The OHRV impacted the ATV that CO Holmes was on and ejected him onto a gravel road. Accident reconstruction estimated the speed of the OHRV that struck CO Holmes to be greater than 50 MPH. CO Holmes suffered several fractured ribs but credits his Safariland SUM R08 6020 with reducing the level of serious injuries.
We welcome Conservation Officer II Matthew W. Holmes, Save #2092, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
