On November 10, 2021, Corporal Christopher Ryder of the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office was on his police motorcycle conducting a funeral escort when a vehicle turned left in front of him. He hit the side of the car and was ejected from his motorcycle and landed 30 feet beyond the site of the crash. He suffered broken fingers and lacerations to his arms, face, and head. His Safariland XT03 Level II armor protected his torso, and he had no injuries in the area protected by his body armor.
We welcome Corporal Christopher Ryder as SAVE #2175 to the Safariland Group SAVES Club.
