Deputy Bradley Stevens

White County Sheriff’s Office Searcy, Arkansas Saves Club

On November 28, 2018 Deputy Bradley Stevens responded to a shots fired call at a residence. He approached the home and knocked on the door. The assailant opened the door and immediately shot Deputy Stevens once in the chest with a .357 Magnum revolver. Deputy Stevens’s Safariland® Monarch® MR02 Level II armor stopped the round and Deputy Stevens was able to stay in the fight and return fire.

The assailant was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder and for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was convicted and sentenced to 35 years. Deputy Stevens was treated at the hospital and released, and has since returned to full duty.
