On September 25, 2021 Officer Ashton Davis of the California Highway Patrol was on duty operating his marked Patrol Motorcycle when he was hit by a driver. Officer Davis was ejected from his motorcycle onto the highway. Thanks to his Safariland® SX02 Level IIIA armor, he had no major injuries to his torso.
Officer Davis has returned to full duty.
