On June 3rd, 2024, Officer Ron Linstra of the Winslow Police Department was dealing with a suspect who was acting aggressive at a local grocery store and refusing to leave. The suspect continued to act aggressive towards Officer Linstra and refused to show any identification. Officer Linstra attempted to take the suspect into custody and an altercation ensued. During the alteration, the suspect attempted to grab Officer Linstra’s firearm. The suspect was unsuccessful, not being able to defeat the retention of Officer Linstra’s Safariland® 6390RDS Duty Holster even as the fight went to the floor and both of them landed on the holster. The suspect was taken into custody and faces multiple charges.
