On September 18, 2020, Officer Veronica Lozano was working the site of a stalled 18-wheeler on I-35 South. Upon stepping out from her patrol vehicle, with one foot out on the highway and one still in her car, a drunk driver crashed into the back of her vehicle at a high rate of speed. The impact caused Officer Lozano to be ejected. The steel door frame of the vehicle struck Officer Lozano directly over her spine. If it were not for her Safarilandâ XT03F Level IIIA armor, doctors believe Officer Lozano would have sustained severe spinal injuries. She did suffer injuries in the areas not protected by her armor. Officer Lozano has been cleared to return to duty.
We welcome Officer Veronica Lozano, SAVE #2118, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®
