Officers Latscher and Swanson were conducting a traffic stop when the occupant opened fire, striking Oficer Latcher in the Vest, arm and abdomen. Officer Latschar called for his own rescue squad but required four hours of surgery and 20 units of blood to save his life. The assailant was taken into custody by officers after Officer Swanson gave chase and back up arrived.
