Deputy Grant says he is the “only deputy in the county who regularly wears a bulletproof vest”. Lucky for him it was a Second Chance®. Unlucky for the gunmen who had to pick Grant out of all the other deputies in the county. Grant stopped a vehicle for having no taillights or license plates. As Grant exited his unit the suspect also exited his. As the suspect did his exit number, he brought up a .22 rifle and popped off two quick shots at Grant. The first slug hit the deputy in the right arm, the second in the lower abdominal area, but was stopped by his Second Chance® vest.
We welcome Deputy Timothy Grant, SAVE #105, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
